The Relationship Between State and Civil Society: A General Theory
I start a new series today at this Relational Social Policy substack.
Each week day for the next few months I will build a story about the relationship between a powerful civil society and a powerful state. I will use the emerging ideas to propose a relational social policy designed to redistribute power, and refocus state investments away from services and towards supporting contexts that help people to be their better selves. The purpose of the series is to test the ideas. I invite you to read and let me know what you think.
